Join us for the Service of the Word on Christ the King Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.  Ms. Tracey Beadle will be our guest preacher.  Her sermon text is John 18:33-37; her sermon title is “Christ or King?”   Hymns for this Sunday will be “We Plow the Fields and Scatter” and “Crown Him with Many Crowns”.  Other readings are 2 Samuel 23:1-7, Psalm 132:1-18, and Revelation 1:4b-8.

November 22 is Stewardship Sunday for Genesis Presbyterian Church – bring your 2010 Commitment Cards to turn in during worship.

Following worship we will have a brief Dine and Decorate.  Bring your own lunch.  We will decorate the church for the holiday season.

Join us for the Service of the Word on the First Sunday of Advent, November 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.  Mr. Mark Stoddard will be our guest preacher.  His sermon text is Luke 21:25-36.  Hymns for this Sunday will be “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” and “O Lord, How Shall I Meet You?”  Other readings are Jeremiah 33:14-16, Psalm 25:1-10 and 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13.

November 29 is the 5^th Sunday of the Month.  We will have a free will offering at the end of the service to support Faith in Action Caregivers Northeast Austin.

We welcome Mr. Mark Stoddard as our guest preacher on Sunday, November 29, 2009.  Mark is a graduate of Austin Presbyterian Seminary, a former member of Trinity and Genesis churches, and has preached at Trinity and Genesis previously. He also teaches the Adult Sunday School at Genesis when he can. He is an Assistant Principal with the Pleasanton ISD.

The Present Word Sunday School Class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall

A nursery is provided from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  Children are welcome to remain in worship at all times.

Refreshments are served in the kitchen following worship.

From San Antonio:  I-35 North, (interstate will split into an upper and lower level - stay to the right on the upper level - following the Airport Blvd. Exit.  Take Airport Blvd exit and continue to the right onto Airport Blvd. South. Stay in the right lane.  Wilshire Blvd. is at the first light, Capps Rentals will be on the right - turn right onto Wilshire.  Patterson Park will now be on your left.  Just past the park Genesis is up on the hill on the left, Wilshire forks off to the right, take a left at the fork to go around to the parking lot of the church located on Schieffer St.

From Georgetown:  I-35 South - take Airport/38 1/2 St. Exit - move all the way over to the right and go down to the light at Airport.  Turn left onto Airport (you will be going under I-35).  Stay in the right lane.  The next red light is at the northbound side of I-35, continue on Airport.  Wilshire Blvd. is at the next light, Capps Rentals will be on the right - turn right onto Wilshire.  Patterson Park will now be on your left.  Just past the park, Genesis is up on the hill on the left, Wilshire forks off to the right, take a left at the fork to go around to the parking lot of the church located on Schieffer St.
